DONATING TO LDA
LDA does not receive any core government funding or support. We rely primarily
on the support of members, corporations, foundations and individual donors to sustain much needed programs and services.
LDA relies primarily on our donors, people just like you, to maintain
essential activities such as:
- Resource facilitating: we answer more than 2000 calls a year

Our newsletter,
'Learning Connections' published four times yearly provides important current
information on learning disabilities and available services
- Our programs and services such as; Social Skills, Parent Support Group, Homework
Club, Tutoring etc.
- Our library and resource centre specializing in materials on learning
disabilities and Attention Deficit (Hyperactivity) Disorder
- Advocacy in the areas of education, employment and human rights
- Public awareness about learning disabilities, including events such as conferences
and Learning Disabilities Month in March every year.
- Maintenance and continued development of our web site
- and much, much more..................
DONATION OPTIONS
There are 4 main
ways in which donors can contribute to the organization's work.
One-time donations can be made, in any
amount, at any time! Upon request charitable donation receipts will be issued for all donations over $10.00.
Donations In-Kind: we gladly accept
donations in-kind of goods such as furniture, office equipment, educational resources etc. We always have a long wish list,
which we are more than happy to share with you!
Sponsorship: Corporations, businesses
or individuals may sponsor a specific program or service of the organization.
Third party fundraising events: We encourage
our members to coordinate fundraising activities on behalf of LDA. These events can be done at your home, workplace or with
your friends. Examples are garage sales, BBQ's, car washes etc.
HOW TO DONATE TO LDA:
Visa donations can be forwarded via
fax, mail or phoned in. Please include your full Visa number, expiration date, name as it appears on the card and amount
of your donation
Cheque donations may be mailed or dropped
off (addresses below)
Cash donations may be dropped off at our
offices (addresses below)
Please note: Upon request we can issue tax receipts
for all donations greater than $10.
